For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son. —John 3:16

One Fathers Day morning my sister and I proceeded into the kitchen, my sister carrying our gift with  house shoes that said "The World's Greatest Dad" . To our surprise, we both found on our plates a colorfully wrapped package. As we opened the gifts eagerly, my sister said, "Dad, this is your day. You're not supposed to give gifts on Father's Day!'' "Are you sure of that?" my dad asked. We didn't know what he meant with his odd answer. We just knew that the gifts were our dad's way of letting us know that he loved us.

But, later, at church, it came to me — that God, the Father,
gave all of us the gift of His Son. It was His way of letting us know that He loved us.

We're honoring fathers everywhere on Fathers Day, Lord  we especially  honor You, the Greatest Father of all
